Under £20.00 is a very good price for this book, with a dust wrapper - free postage too.
Its one of my favourite short story collections, because I love the narration in between each story, which describes the party! This book has so many nice details, invitation cards, great illustrations, great use of colour etc - and a lovely wrap-around dust jacket!

Thanks, Rob, I've bought it!
Now I've got my eye on this one, also from World of Rare Books:
I've wanted it for a while in a decent dust jacket, but what about that sticker? Do you think it'd be possible to remove it without damaging the wrapper — steaming it, maybe, or is there some kind of solvent that wouldn't hurt the paper / printing? Does anyone know? (There are a few other dust jacket copies of this one available at the moment, but this is one of the best condition-wise and certainly price-wise — apart from the sticker.)

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Glad it went to a good home! You can now read the controversial story 'The Little Black Doll'
I'm not sure about that barcode sticker - I'm pretty sure it wouldn't come off, or would rip the surface of the dust jacket - a real shame.

From what I've heard — and knowing Enid's general attitude towards such matters — I'm sure it'll actually be quite ahead of its time!Rob Houghton wrote:Glad it went to a good home! You can now read the controversial story 'The Little Black Doll'

Well, I think so, anyway!
The Cherry tree Farm book is a great price, looking at others that are for sale.

Re: A Story Party at Green Hedges
It is — especially considering that the dust jacket is otherwise in reasonable condition — but if there's no way of getting that horrid sticker off, that spoils it.
I may have a look online for possible methods, but not right now, as I'm just on my supper break during work and need to finish my cup of tea...
