no chance of me bidding quietly on this now then, lol!

Mind you I'm sure it won't go for £3!

I really only want The Red Story Book as its the only one I don't have in a wrapper. Hate it when books are all put together like this!
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

Well, I won the books! Must admit I feel a bit bad, as maybe I stopped others on here from bidding...!

In fact though, no one bid for them anyway, except me - very unusual! So I got 5 books with dust jackets for £3.00 plus £3.50 postage! About the best bargain I've ever had on eBay. I feel sorry for the seller though! Tough break for them, only making £3.00 on five dust jacketed books! :? But that's a risk you take when putting books to auction.

Well done, Rob. :D

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Oh rats, wish I'd seen those :( . Very well done getting them Rob, like you I only needed one of them though, so normally I wouldn't have bought four books I already had, but at that price you really can't go wrong!

I really only wanted The Red Story Book - although my copy of The Green Story Book smells a bit chemically, as some old books seem to - so I might keep The Green Story Book if it looks as good or better than the copy I already have - the same with the others. I'll check them against those I have, and if appropriate I upgrade my own books then sell those I've replaced.

The books arrived today, and they are really great - very good condition mosrly, except one has some chips in the wrapper, which I knew about. I think the Red Story book is very good condition as is The Green Story Book so I will definitely keep them. The others are very good also. A real pity they didn't go for more, but I'm nor complaining!!

You got a real bargain Rob, all five of those books aren't exactly cheap usually. I bet the seller is kicking themselves! That's the risk with selling though, if you don't get many takers you make a big loss, but if you start too high it puts bidders off. Ebay is definitely pot luck whether you buy or sell.
