Famous Five bookmark
I recall somebody (Rob I think) looking for one of these ice cream wafer shaped bookmarks a while back:

Runs out at ten past seven tonight, and not a bad price at the moment

Gosh I thought it was expensive for a book mark.
Julian gave an exclamation and nudged George.

Re: Famous five bookmark
Thanks IceMaiden. I was indeed looking to buy one eventually, but I'd prefer to buy one in a book for about £1.50. I agree the price is quite good so far - though I'm sure it will go up before the auction ends. I'm trying to save spending so much money for a while, until I've sold a few more of my books! So far this month I've made £74 - on books but I've bought about twice that value!

Re: Famous five bookmark
£20 max. That's the value of this bookmark, in my opinion.

Re: Famous five bookmark
I presume you don't really want to pay £31.50, Rob.

I hope one of those hard nosed dealers don't end up getting a bargain!
I saw another one for sale here:

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Re: Famous Five bookmark
Hopefully someone deserving won the bookmark on eBay - which just went for £26.00.
In the end I placed a couple of bids, as I know the price for the one on Pete's link is about usual - around £45. I upped the price to £25 but was outbid by the lucky winner!
I'm still hoping I get lucky some day and find one for a fiver!

Maybe there's one hidden away in another author's book in Hay-on-Wye...

Re: Famous Five bookmark
Gosh it went for a bit! It was a fairly reasonable price of around £9 (not reasonable for most bookmarks but I suppose it would be for this one ) when I put it on here, it must have shot up at the last ten minutes like so many things do on eBay. Guess it's still 'cheap' at £26 though compared to nearly £50

Re: Famous Five bookmark
I remember the same wording from some of our older copies of FF books and was always a little amused by the assurance that "Enid Blyton will wear one too, so that you will know her." Did she always remember to wear her Famous Five badge absolutely every time she stepped out the door, then?

I remember, there was one bookmark being sold on Abebooks in 2017 for £35.
I have one.

Re: Famous Five bookmark
When looking at the Ebay ID, hawthornstrading, it seems familiar. Then, I remember that I bought the Famous Five bookmark from her two or three years back! Her name is Caroline if I remember correctly.
