Fair starting price for the obscure book. Good luck bidding!

Re: The Snowdrop Storybook
I think for nearly £30 I would want a dustjacket!
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Re: The Snowdrop Storybook
I couldn't resist - an early Christmas present to myself! It's the only Flower book I don't have, and I know its fairly hard to find, so I went ahead and won it. Thanks Sixret!

Re: The Snowdrop Storybook
I agree - but I've never seen this one in a dust jacket, so I gave in. To be fair, there was another one last week that went for £32 but was much more tatty.Fiona1986 wrote:I think for nearly £30 I would want a dustjacket!

Re: The Snowdrop Storybook
If you do - it's mine! . I can understand getting it to complete a collection. I'm missing a few of the Flower books anyway so I wasn't tempted.

Don't go on E-bay or to any book shops for a while then - not that you'll have time, you'll be too busy reading your new book.Rob Houghton wrote: I bet I see one with a wrapper for £12 now!

Re: The Snowdrop Storybook
Well done, Rob! Both you and the book deserve each other.
I had been searching for this book high and low in online market for so long and I have never seen this one appeared, let alone with dust jacket. I found my own copy of this book in Ebay US in September this year. For $6.99 plus shipping to my friend's home address in New York i.e. $2.79, it was a great value. Then, my friend shipped the book to me. Still it was a great value considering how scarce and obscure the title is. The condition of the book is almost like the one you have won, Rob. I knew you were searching for this title to complete your Flower series(through online conversation with Fiona and Tony in this forum- I better explain this so that people would not think that I have been tabbing you. ).
To others, who have been searching this title, don't worry. There's another copy on Ebay for £32 plus postage. If I had not owned my copy, I would have snapped it in seconds!

Ah - that must have been the one I saw - I thought it had sold, as I mentioned earlier, but obviously not!sixret wrote: To others, who have been searching this title, don't worry. There's another copy on Ebay for £32 plus postage. If I had not owned my copy, I would have snapped it in seconds!

Re: The Snowdrop Storybook
Well done Rob! I'd been watching that one myself and would almost certainly have bid on it if I hadn't been preoccupied with two Wishing Chair books that ran out ten seconds earlier . I'm glad you've got it, I did wonder if someone on here would .
