Five On A Secret Trail first edition Signed
Hi, I'm new to the forum. My father was a great book collector - Churches, Religion, WWI and WWII,the Countryside, Radiograms etc etc.
He passed away over a year ago and I am working my way through his collection. I sell stuff on eBay but in this case would be happier to sell to an enthusiast.
I have about 25 Enid Blyton books, all hardback.
About 15 are from the 'Five' series, mostly first editions, no dj and in reasonable condition.
One, Five on a Secret Trial, is first ed 1956 and signed - looks genuine to me - I tried to put up a photo but I don't think I have clearance to do so.
I could list the books and/ or email anyone interested a photo of the signature (in blue fountain pen).
I live in Suffolk and chances are I'll find more books as I dig through the the collection!
I also have a few 'Sunny Stories' magazines too.
Thanks for reading, please tell me what you think, even if you're not interested in buying.

Hi MrPunch,
It's not possible to put photos straight from your computer into your post, I'm afraid. Photos need to be uploaded to a host site like Photobucket, and then you can paste the relevant link(s) into your post. Hope that helps!

A warm welcome Mr Punch.
Sorry to hear about your father passing away last year.It sounds like he was a great book collector.

If you have them on ebay, you could always put in the ebay link on here, so we can view what you are selling.

Re: Five On A Secret Trail first edition Signed
Hi again, thanks for the replies, hopefully the above link will work. I'd be interested to know if folk think it's genuine.
I haven't put any of these on eBay, thought I would see if anyone here was interested first.
I'll post a list and see what happens.

Your link certainly worked, but all it produced was my own photobucket page, not yours!

Thanks Tony, I've changed the above link, not sure if it will work - I never seem to be able to do this type of thing from my iPad, if it doesn't work I'll revert to my old PC!

Re: Five On A Secret Trail first edition Signed
Sorry you're having trouble with Photobucket, MrPunch. I often have difficulty with it too, even on a desktop computer!
If I remember correctly, a photo that has been uploaded to Photobucket has a list of "image tags" either beneath the photo, or to one side of it. If you copy and paste a certain image tag into your forums post, the photo will show up in your post. Unless things have changed recently, the required tag has (url=...)(img) at the start and (/img)(/url) at the end - but with square brackets [ instead of round ones.
Regarding dimensions, the maximum length of a side that's accepted on the forums is 620 pixels.

Still not showing as I am still getting my own photobucket. If you want to send the image to me - tony@enidblytonsociety.co.uk - I will put it up for you and also tell you if it is a genuine signature.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)
