The Three Golliwogs - bargain!!! ;-)

Post by Rob Houghton »

Here's a ridiculously priced 1990's Dean version of 'The Three Gollies' (it's not even 'the three golliwogs'! - £50 starting price for what is described as a 'very old' book??!! These people give books sellers a bad name.

hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

Looks like it's a shop selling bric a brac. They just see the author - Enid Blyton- and think the books are worth a fortune. Pity they don't research first.

Julian gave an exclamation and nudged George.
"See that? It's the black Bentley again. KMF 102!"

They seem to be selling quite a few Enid Blyton items in the shop (I can see a Noddy hanging up, and maybe a Big Ears near to the camera? As you say - they should do a bit more research - which would only involve them opening the book and seeing the publication date! ;-)

If that book is "very old", I must be ancient.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)
