It'll be interesting to see how much those fetch in the end, Pete.

Most of them look like they're in very nice condition. Yes, it will be interesting to see what they go for, in the end.

Nice books if you want to collect something that Gillian owned.
Not quite my cup of tea though. But as said, it would be nice to see what these little books fetch.

Re: Gillian Baverstock owned Blyton books for sale
Sales like this can be slightly misleading as these are just books that Gillian bought as a collector like any other collector, many of them at Enid Blyton Days. None of these originally belonged to Enid and nor were they Gillian's childhood books. Having said that, books like Songs of Gladness and Responsive Singing Games fetch a good price, and Gillian would have paid considerably more for them than their Ebay starting price. Many collectors are not particularly interested in these song books and the fact that he has put them on Ebay would seem to imply that he is having problems trying to sell them on other sites!
I doubt if Gillian had two copies of Songs of Gladness!!

Thank you Tony - certainly not the same as if they had been inherited from Enid.

I've decided to send you a tenner every time you mention S & R....It's the least I can do after all the hard work you do promoting them!
But,you'll need a lot more than that if you are going to make any major purchases from them..

I'll just have to mention them a lot more times then. Thanks, Pete.

Re: Gillian Baverstock owned Blyton books for sale
Does this apply to all of us or just Courtenay? I used to buy a lot of my books from STELLA and ROSE but always went to their shop in Tintern. They have a wide range of Blyton books at the STELLA and ROSE bookshop and many are reasonable prices there, but obviously on eBay STELLA and ROSE go for the kill! I certainly wouldn't buy anything from STELLA and ROSE on eBay!
(I calculate that's £40 so far - which would buy me about two pages of a first edition Famous Five book)
