Would you believe I still got a sudden rush of "OHMYGODITSBANSHEETOWERS" there... my heart rate's only just gone back to normal. Mine was about a tenner but it has no DJ.
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.
So there are people who can get that excited about the much-maligned final Find-Outers book...

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)
It's not one of my favourites from the series but it's one I did have as a child so there's a certain nostalgia factor. Add that to a near obsessive need to complete all the series... then yes, I got excited.

I don't get really excited, but a hardback first edition of it would still be well worth having! It's one of the few Find Outer books I only have in a paperback version!
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'
On the other hand I rarely bid for anything that isn't spelled right! BANCHEE TOWER doesnt sound very intelligent. Even if someone was posting this with English as their second language, it sort of puts me off - after all, they only have to copy what's written on the cover of the book they're selling...and they are expecting people to bid for what they're offering - so the least you can expect as a buyer is to have the item correctly listed.

Oh dear... and I'm afraid I wouldn't pay £12.50 (or more) for it in that condition with no dust jacket anyway.

I take Rob's point on board about the poor spelling. It may however cause less ebay buyer arousal.
I think this is a pretty rare book.Even without its wrapper,it's pretty hard to get hold of.
I do wonder what it will eventually sell for.
If I needed this title a book like this with a laser dustjacket may be my best option??
For THAT price it should be on the "eBay Rip Off Merchant" thread.
