Large collection of Enid Blyton, Malcolm Saville

Post by pete9012S »

Here's another large collection that may well go for a bargain price for someone who can collect them..

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Large-collect ... 4d34802467" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
These are books I had as a child. They are really not in very good condition as they all have yellowed pages, foxing and some have writing on the inside cover. They are all dusty and dirty. However, a few of them are very collectable and still have dust covers (albeit torn in places).
I have said collection only but if someone wants me to courier them instead I will consider this if they sell for enough money. There is a very low starting price for this due to the condition of the books.

The dates I have quoted are the latest dates I can see in the inside front cover but I am not sure that is the correct edition.

Hard back with dust covers

Enid Blyton - Five are together again (1963 maybe first edition)
Enid Blyton - Five go down to the sea (1969)
Malcolm Saville - The Secret of the Villa Rosa (197maybe first edition)
Noel Streatfeild - Ballet Shoes (1977)

If it's any comfort to anyone, I have no intention whatsoever of buying these! :wink: :mrgreen:

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Gosh what another collection someone is selling!

I'm sure those books will be fabulous for a Malcolm Saville collector, and for anyone who hasn't got any of the Blyton titles. As I have all the Blyton titles I won't be buying either.

Likewise... I have all the Blytons and almost all the Savilles. Good for someone just starting out on the collection trail though!

You've just stolen my thunder! :D

They look rather a tatty load of books, think I might pay someone to take these away!
