A good collection of books and magazines, especially for someone living close enough to collect in person and avoid courier costs!

No.I was tempted without the postage.I was about thirty or forty miles away all last week when I was in South Wales, though, but I didn't spot it then, sigh! :D

I think it's a good price for the magazines alone, and I think I spot The Christmas Book in the pile?
That's always pricey to buy, anytime of the year.

Right... I gave in. Too many ones there that I want, plus I know Mum would just love to have those Enid Blyton Magazines (she's a big fan of vintage magazines as well as of Enid!).

Annoyingly, although I've technically purchased the collection, it won't let me complete the transaction yet because the seller didn't include the postage price in the invoice (although he did include it in the description). I've had to send him a message to request the correct invoice so that I can pay.

Even with the courier cost, which brings the total up to £32.98, for so many books that's an incredibly good price - for 57 items in total, it's £1.73 per book or magazine!! - and considering that at that rate, I might be able to make a profit myself out of those I don't want...

Ask them to use Hermes for the courier.
I think they would be much cheaper.

I still think you have a very good deal,as the price for that amount of books and magazines, many with dustjackets is very fair indeed! :D

Well, I got a message from the seller to say he'd received my payment and would send the books on Monday, so I replied and asked him which courier he was using, as I'd heard that Hermes might be the cheapest - but to just go ahead if he's already made arrangements. So it's in his court now - we'll see. Thanks for the advice.

That looks like a wonderful collection of books, Courtenay! I see it includes The Magic Faraway Tree with dustwrapper, which must be worth quite a bit on its own (I've only got the Dean & Son editions of the Faraway Tree books). Great stuff! :D

Well, the seller notified me that he always uses Parcelforce as they deliver within 48 hours, so I decided not to argue the point further. So I expect I'll have the goods by the middle of the week...

No. :P Especially considering I live in one room!! But I will probably only keep half or fewer - there are some I know I want, some I know I don't want, and some I'll read and see how I like them before I decide.
