I haven't seen one either, Julie.

I'm sure Tony has one though. :D

I haven't seen one of these for sale for a while, and I have just been checking back issues of the Journal as I remember putting it in one issue. I found it under Interesting Ephemera in Journal 14. It is certainly genuine and I imagine now quite scarce. It came as a freebie tucked into one of the Famous Five books in the early 50s, although I can't remember which title offhand. Like everything else it is worth exactly what someone is prepared to pay for it, but there can't be many about and I wouldn't expect another to appear on ebay next week - unless this one fetches a very high price!!

Yes, I do have one, so I won't be bidding!

Thanks for the reminder, Maureen. :D I must scan it and make myself a copy or use the one above posted by Pete.

I'm sure I used to have one of these, sadly long since gone the way of much childhood stuff. :(

I am not all that surprised at the price, as I said in my post above they are now scarce and it is a collector's item. The other side is actually different and if I can get to grips with my new scanner I will try to post it at some stage.

Well what a fortune to spend on a piece of paper!

I have some famous five bookmarks...the 70th anniversary ones and one with a picture of the origanal first 16 books... Can't find a picture I'm afraid or else I would have posted one.

I don't think they are worth quite as much as the £45 one!
