The postage on the first one is ridiculously expensive, Maureen, as is the badge if it comes to that!

Hi Tony & Poppy,
I agree Tony and a few times I have purchased things on Ebay and have queried the seller re high postage charges and normally they have reduced it before I purchase.
Some however charge high and when you receive the item the postage isnt what is on the package and its much much lower than the advertised price and its so infuriating!! It has happened 2 or 3 times to me and luckily they have given me a refund.
Cheers and Gingerbeers

Re: Enid Blyton Badges For Sale
I remember when I got my Famous Five Badge for Christmas my mum and dad mentioned how much they cost! (They said it was the most expensive Christmas present they had ever seen!) I think they were joking when they said that though.
They do cost a lot though...
If only we could get them for a sixpence like they used to...!

Re: Enid Blyton Badges For Sale
This is one part of eBay I dislike. As sellers are charged a percentage of the final sell price, but not on the postage it works out better for them to charge £5 for an item plus £5 postage, instead of £8 for the item and £2 postage.Maureen1954 wrote: Some however charge high and when you receive the item the postage isnt what is on the package and its much much lower than the advertised price and its so infuriating!!
Some sellers try to deny that's their process, be claiming that the rest of the postage cost goes on the actual packaging and the "time it takes to go to the post office" which really infuriates me. If you're going to sell something, of course you have to invest time for it. It takes a few minutes to write up a listing and obviously you've got to put it in the post. Most people are getting money for an old item they no longer want, so it's pure profit anyway - why try to make more to 'compensate' you for the 5 minutes it took to make your money?

I agree, I did tell one seller his postage was too high and suggested he use myhermes instead of royal mail as RM prices are ridiculous.
It's against the ebay rules to overcharge for postage, it's worth asking sellers to refund excess as they won't want bad feedback or to be removed from ebay.
