Re: Noddy and his Friends comic

It is mentioned on the website in the Chronology - a section that nobody looks at!

1974 March 9 - Noddy and His Friends No.1 published by Hudvale.

Re: Auctioned book collection

Some of you are being generous to the seller here as the price asked is actually now £339.99 what I would call £340! Julia subscribed to the Journal for many years and I had a number of phone conversations with her and I don't believe that she ever said that she had a copy of every Blyton book ever ...

Re: The Cherrys by Will Scott

A good source for Will Scott's Cherrys' Books is O'Connell'S Bookshop in Adelaide, South Australia. You can find them listed on abebooks where you can see several there in very good wrappers for just over £700 each, but that doesn't include postage which to the UK is a further charge of just under £...

Re: Guess The Book & The illustrator?

I am actually playing with the Mary Pollock books at the moment for the back cover of Journal 80 as they were published 80 years ago in 1943 !

Re: THE WRITER Dec, 1951 – Enid Blyton

Anita's right - those articles would be great in the Journal! Sadly some think that it would be better here when over 90% of those that take the Journal don't even look at the forums but I appreciate that some of the people who use these forums regularly don't subscribe and therefore have no intere...

Re: Website Additions

I have just loaded Jacqueline Wilson's new Faraway Tree book into the Cave. It comes out in about a fortnight and I see Amazon are already offering it at half price (£6.49 instead of £12.99). It is a handsome looking book and is aimed at 6 to 8 year-olds. I read it a while back (proof copy), but I h...

Re: Old Newspaper/Magazine Articles on Enid Blyton

https://www.enidblytonsociety.co.uk/author/covers/a-complete-list-of-books.jpg I think that this is probably the 'guide to her works' that is being referred to, Judith. It is not really as exciting as it sounds and it only lists the books that were in print at the time it was published, which means...

I'm starting to work my way through the Brockhampton Picture Books and the whole book of the first one is linked below, Enid and Eileen starring. There will be more to follow.

Tony doesn't know! :D It looks to me like a copy of Green Hedges Magazine. but I have no idea which number. The only thing I can say for definite is that it has nothing to do with the Society.

Further to Pete putting up two of the poems from Animal Frolics a short while ago I have now added all six to their page in the Cave.

Re: Personal Gems From The Cave Of Books

You might both enjoy some of the Pennant Readers that I am adding which all have a number of two coloured illustrations by Eileen Soper. The stories are normally a bit longer and not always easy to find in books. So far I have added six, 7, 8, 9, 12, 15, 16, and I am currently working on 17. https:/...

Thanks Sue, that would be much appreciated and I am certainly in no hurry at all, so the end f May would be fine.
