Re: Peterswood life during term-time

I was born in 1987 so I've always had a shower and / or bath. But I remember my mom (born in 1956) talking about how she was washed in front of the fire by her mother. She hated it. I've lived in an appartment with no central heating, so well, that's freezing in winter. We did have a heating system ...

Re: Edgar Stick & Tinker

When I first read this book (in Dutch called "De vijf gaan er vandoor") I found Julian's way of treating Edward was exactly what Edward deserved. Now I am not so sure. But I could connect to it back then. I'd been teased a lot in school and I hated that and Julian did to Edgar what I dream...

Re: Blyton Nature Series 60 plate set

Oh man I'd love that. Still since I'm broke I'd have to ask my parents to pay it for me so well, no guarantees yet. Do you ship to the Netherlands? (and if you do, how much would that cost?)

Re: Enid Blyton Day 2012

Thank you! I'll be sure to check it out, including the pages of the EB days of the past years. And then I'll see if I can make it. Are there more people from outside the UK coming? Or will I be the only one? :)

Re: Enid Blyton Day 2012

Sounds like fun, but what do you guys do during the EB day? I mean, I have to book a plane and other stuff, so before I do all that stuff (and check if I can actually make it that day haha), I'd like to know a little more..

Re: Did Enid ever get depressed?

As a psychologist (well, still in college, but done in less than 2 years) I can say that being bi-polar or manic depressed is indeed the same thing. Suffering from extreme highs to extreme lows. About Enid, I can't say, but she has written so many books that being heavily depressed seems unlikely, b...

Re: Pointless Registration

*kicks topic back up* I have to admit that after I registered and introduced myself, I spent a lot of time reading everything that's been written on here. It's so much information and I don't want to ask questions that have already been answered and stuff. So then, after that my laptop crashed, but ...

Re: Uncle Quentin & Aunt Fanny?

I think uncle Quentin married Fanny because he loved her. In some books he obviously shows his love for her. For example the one Five run away together (I think it's that one), Fanny gets sick and he is obviously worried for her.

I can't really find it on the website and I'm not sure if it's okay to open a new topic about it, but what does this subscription mean? Can anyone explain because I'm curious and thinking about it.

I don't know if you're still looking for Dutch copies of EB books, but the dutch website http://www.bol.com is an online shop where they sell all the EB books that are currently available.
