A writer who lived at "Old Thatch"
Was busy sewing a patch
On a tatty old skirt
That was covered with dirt
The patch just wouldn't attach.

Shouted 'ouch', as he sat on a thistle,
Then Sooty, his cat,
Ran off with his hat

Re: Question re. tunnel to Kirrin Island

When George used the tunnel she came to a junction where two other ways of going were possible. Timmy was able to find the right one, of course. I always felt that the tunnels could have been used again but, alas, they never were.

Re: Favourite Five Find-Outers book

I have just been reading Hidden House again. I'd forgotten what a wizard read it is. Apart from the fabulous Fatty outdoing himself we have the wonderful Ern and we have a better picture of Goon. The actual mystery is a good one and handled well. What do you think of the mysteries as mysteries? As a...

Re: Have I missed this,or is it still to come?

I think it is a very bad idea. The Five belong to childhood only, and to a time period which is essential. I imagine we all have our own ideas about what kind of adults the Five would become, just as we have our own ideas about how the Five looked, etc. Personally I don't want somebody elses interpre...

Re: Your Favourite Film of all time and why!

This is an impossible question for me to answer as I have favourites from all ages and genres. 2001:A Space Odyssey is a film I have watched over a hundred times, often on the Cinerama screen it was meant for. Its a film which works on many levels and never fails to captivate me. Singing in the Rain...
