Sad reading indeed, and I know it's a worry that we can't attract further subscribers, but even if we did manage this task, what would be the point if Tony's computer and scanner etc could pack up regardless of how many new subscribers we get? As that would be the end of the Journal for everyone, newbies as well. We may well have the forums and website, but no Journal.

I've suggested that several times. Good idea.

I have a confession to make about Journal 63! I credited the cover to Grace Lodge, when it should have been to Dorothy Heather, but I have now changed that in the Journal Catalogue. Nobody noticed the mistake, including me, or if they did they were too polite to point it out. I only noticed myself quite recently.

Journal 64 was posted out yesterday, so I have now added it to the Journal Catalogue, but I haven't started a new thread as I am sure that none will have yet arrived and it would be nice if people could see it before they comment on it - always hoping of course that someone does want to say something! :D

I must admit, I never noticed your 'deliberate mistake' Tony! ;-) Now I come to think of it, the cover of Journal number 63 was definitely not Grace Lodge...so it was very remiss of me not to notice, as Grace Lodge is one of my favourite EB illustrators.

Good news about Journal 64 - always a treat to get a new Journal - and I think I prefer it coming later in November (in fact - I'd rather it came in December, as the Winter issue!). Its always struck me that April. August and December are all perfect months for The Journal - but I think they usually come earlier than that - despite me always thinking April August December' lol! :-D

I had intended for readers to have it about two weeks ago when we still had some Autumn left as I sent it to the printers a week before the end of October!

Good to hear that the journal will arrive soon and a nice and varied selection of contents as always. Well done to Tony for putting it together.

I'm trying to increase the amount I pay for my Society renewal. It seems not to allow me to change the amount from £10.60. Any advice would be appreciated.

Ah...perhaps that's a thing with online renewal? I always write a cheque! :-D Not sure what to suggest.

I had the same issue last night. It seems to be impossible to alter the amount which is set by the Society. I was in a hurry so ended up just subscribing as normal as I like to get my subscription in immediately once I receive the notification. :?
