A good choice of word to rhyme with Tony, Rob. :D

Here's another starter:

A bright young schoolboy called Ben,
'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.

"Tony Baloney" — wasn't that a song by Roy Orbison?? :D  (Yes, I do know what it is really, but apparently that is a common mishearing of it...)

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Tony Baloney: the misheard lyrics from Only the Lonely.
'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.

A bright young schoolboy called Ben,
For adventuring had quite a yen,
As a smuggler he dressed,
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

(E. Blyton, Sunday Times, 1951)

Until he fell right into a fen.

Here's a new one:

A precocious young girl called Pearl,
'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.

A precocious young girl called Pearl,
Thought she'd set each man's heart in a whirl,
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

Wearing naught, what a sight,
And danced all around with a twirl!

And a new one:

Poor Noddy fell asleep at the wheel,
