It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Ever since Enid Blyton had been appointed Governess, the young offenders have had to find the animals in their sentence.
He called the greatest archers to a tavern on the green.

By the end of the year, Donald Trump's cabinet had been reduced to just the bare minimum.

"Why are British politics so complicated?" thought the first-time voter. "In America they just have to choose between an elephant and a donkey."
He called the greatest archers to a tavern on the green.

Great captions everybody. You all gave me a great chuckle.
I'm going to make our birthday girl the winner for two reasons: A great caption, and also including the word 'tractable' in it too - no easy feat!!

Over to you Courtenay - now older and wiser since this last caption began.
