The time on here

Is there a reason the time on posts is out on here? I've got my setting set to GMT which shows the correct time but I've just made a post at 14.51 and it shows as 15.55. The post above mine says 14.56 when the actual time was only 14.51 as well
. It's rather confusing as I can't work out when posts were made or replied to!

Have you selected "no" where it says: Summer Time/DST is in effect?

Where can I find that Anita? I find it a tad annoying to have to constantly take an hour off the times people have posted.

Go to User Control Panel (at top left of screen), then Board Preferences. Under Edit Global Settings you'll see the Summer Time/DST is in effect option.

Thanks Anita. All these years I've been spending 6 months waiting for BST to come back, if only I'd known it was so simple.

Brilliant, thanks Anita
. It didn't occur to me that's what it was, what an idiot

Glad it helped. It's not often that I get to feel like a bit of a computer whizz!

Does this mean we have to change it back when British Summertime starts?

Yes - I don't think it switches over automatically.

Thanks Anita.
I thought I'd done it previously, but didn't realise it wasn't automatic!

Yes, thanks for the info, Anita. I, too, didn't realise it wasn't automatically changed! I suppose I never really took much notice (major excuse!). I'm now off to join the village idiots association!

No, unfortunately it doesn't change (any longer. I might be wrong but I think there was a time when it did that).

I initially thought this thread was about people spending too much time on here.
