Is it possible to embed youtube videos here?

I'm not sure what is meant by "embedding" YouTube videos (sorry, I'm not familiar with all the technical language!) but you can give a link to suitable YouTube clips (e.g. a Blyton-related interview, or a song for our 'Last Song You Listened To' thread) by copying the address from your browser and pasting it into your post.

Embedding means to put it so that the actual youtube screen appears in the post rather than just the written link. I,m not sure if it's possible though. I have never tried it.

Some forums have software that embeds the video automatically when you post a YouTube link. That's not the case with this one, though, and I don't know if there is another way to do it.

Did you have something special you were planning to share, Geemonster? 8)

I think Keith Robinson was good at technical things. Maybe he has anything to say on this matter?

Keith Robinson is the webmaster, Farwa, so he still is good at technical things, not was!

Geemonster why don't you just tell us what it is you want us to see, and we can go on You Tube and find it for ourselves. I sometimes get a bit tired of seeing all these links to You Tube! :|

I'd rather see a link and click it instead of having to go there and find it myself!

A link, just a line of writing, I don't think is too bad. But the actual posting with an box ready to press and play, I think takes up a lot of space. Who knows, this could be why we reach our limit on space by the end of the month when the site goes down. :|

Just put the link/url in your post, it is not possible to embed links on this forum.

I've often wished the forum had a way of embedding Youtube links, but Julie is probably right in saying it would take up too much bandwidth, and it's just as good to just post the URL, as we do now.
