It's on Saturday 12th May 2007 at Loddon Hall in Twyford, England. I suppose that's a bit too far for you to come, Ming! Tickets are available from Tony - I've already bought tickets for myself and my daughter. The price at the moment in British sterling is £8 for adults and £4 for children under 16. From 1st January the price will be £10 for adults and £6 for children under 16.

Who else is planning on coming to the Day?

I'll be booking a days leave as I'm on nights the day before to come, IF I can't get leave I'll lean on brother to drive me down and will sleep on the way!

Might even make a new T shirt... Ahem

Sounds as if there'll be quite a number of us there :D . Last year's get-together was amazing - such a lively atmosphere.

[Noddy13:] "I do hope I can make it this year Anita, and lets hope Viv doesnt lose her way to the pub again this year.."

Hee hee - we'd better not blame Viv, especially when she's not around to defend herself! Besides, I was in the lead car with you if you recall, supposedly directing Keith (though of course, I was acting on instructions from Viv  )!

How I envy you all! There you all will be enjoying yourselves on Enid Blyton Day and I'll be sitting at my desk at school giving a frightful English, Bangla, Maths, Science and Social Studies (History and Geography) exams!

I only joined the Society about a month before this year's Enid Blyton day, and had to miss it because I had already booked a holiday.

I'll definitely be there next year! :D :D

Do I have to subscribe to the Society if I want to attend the Day?

Your question has already been answered for me, Ming. At present it is only possible for members to buy tickets at reduced rates on a form that was enclosed in the recently issued Journal, but early next year we will again be making it possible for anyone to buy tickets through the website. Although most of those who attend are members of the Society, non-members are always welcome.

Best wishes
Tony

I am soooo excited. Have just subscribed and about to send off for tickets. Will be motoring down with emergency supplies of ginger beer, glistening ham and a fresh grown lettuce or two. Can't wait to meet you all!

There is a high possibilty of me coming, all alone from Bangladesh! I just mentioned it to my father, and he agreed, saying it'll be a good chance for me to travel by myself. I'm soooooo excited. Can't wait! Hurry up, May!!!

Wow. What a father! 8)

I assume that although you may be travelling alone, you know someone that lives here?
