I don't know the extent of the Enid Blyton connection to Exbury.I'm guessing its were lots of the 70's Five on TV was filmed? Is that correct?

So I highlight my own, and it's about million different shades of blonde now because of layers upon layers of highlights over the years, and I love it like that. :)
Cathy, I used to be light blond when I was a child. Then with 14 or 15 it turned darker and darker. When I looked at our slides from the trip to Turkey in 1986 my hair looked almost black. I could have cried.
So in 1987 when my first former husband and I moved from a small town in the country to a big city (Hamburg), I decided to get my former childhood hair color back. And everybody that I met from that point on thought it's my natural color.
I never did highlights as they are much more expensive at the German and US hairdressers (and take much more time, too) plus it did not look natural to me to have different strands of blond. So all I did was having my roots dyed every few months.
My roots usually are not dark for 8 weeks. I'm lucky.

Go to Board Index, Chrissie. Then press Active Topics.

You will see a thread there that says, Beauty, Toiletries etc.

Great idea!
Why not have two gatherings in the same year. That way more people can make it.

If you are visiting Exbury, the best time is early to mid-May. All these images have dates on them.

The gardens are extensive and easily the most impressive that I have visited. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous pics! I added the link to my Favorites.
Early to mid May (or early October) is my favorite time for any trips. I cannot deal with heat very well.

Thank you so much for the reports and photos. I enjoyed reading them. Petermax is a handsome man. By the way, who is Larry?

They both, Ilsa and Mark, are very lovely. My husband and I were lucky to meet them at Old Thatch some more later after lunch and had such a great conversation.
