All this talk about speakers reminds me of Cliff's Wired for Sound!

I like small speakers, I like tall speakers
If they've music they've wired for sound
I like small speakers, I like tall speakers
Wall speakers most of all I like loud speakers

I must talk (listen to) with Nigel when we meet up on an Enid Blyton event. The trouble is does one
take him literally or does he gently pull our legs?

Good sub woofers, woofers and tweeters, Francis. Probably close to Bose than Fidelity.

I suppose it depends on the situation...

Tony Summerfield wrote:Although it was mentioned in another thread I felt it might interest one or two people if this had a thread of its own and as I guess that I am the only person able to produce this list, I thought I had better do it.

I have left out speakers who were on the programme but never appeared and included one or two who weren't on the programme but made it onto stage!
As a person that has written and published a book on Enid Blyton, the speakers I would have liked to listen to and more so to have met are Imogen Smallwood, and the lates George Greenfield and Gillian Baverstock since all the three knew Enid Blyton, personally.

If there is to be another E.B.Day Stephen, then why don't you join the Society and come along. You will meet Imogen there, and she usually does attend whether she is speaking on stage or not!

Well said, Julie :D As I understand it, Stephen has never bothered to join the Society or buy any of the superb EBS Journals. Why? I'm sure if he did he'd learn some interesting things about Enid Blyton and her work.

In fact, if you came over here Stephen and attended an E.B. Day, you might find that it's not just this forum who don't fully agree with your own personal anecdotage of Enid's books etc. :|

I was surprised to learn that Stephen isn't a Society member. Seeing that this thread has been running for almost 3½ years, I would have thought he would have been eager to 'pay back' some of the publicity that has been achieved.
