Enid Blyton Day 2013?

Post by 7upromana01 »

I know this is super early but is there going to be a 2013 Day? I would love there to be.

There's no news of one yet, but we can keep our fingers crossed!
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

I'm afraid that there are currently no plans for an Enid Blyton Day in 2013.

I really hope there will be! Is there still hope of being one or not?
It was going to be my first time this year and I already started saving for it just in case there was one... !

It may be a good year for Ming to come because she's just finished her A levels. If there is another one, I try and go again. Poppy, they are AMAZING! And the formites are so nice.

They do sound really good. My nana and granddad said they'd take me (they are good fans of Blyton).

And there are amazing books for sale. When I went I had £15 and I didn't know what to buy! There was such a variety.

It was nice seeing younger forum members - their enthusiasm was so
refreshing. If there is another EB Day I will be sure to bring plenty of
books for Abi to buy!

I'm not done yet, Abi - I have another year of school left, by the end of which I should finish my A Levels. I have just completed AS.

I would love to visit the UK and the forum members again - everyone really is amazing! It's a pity that the EB Day always took place in May, that's around the time I always have my final exams. Back in Grade 6, aged 12, skipping all classes and appearing only for the exam wasn't a problem because I knew I'd ace it! Things are a lot harder when you get to senior school, i.e., Grade 7. And from Grade 9 onwards, attendance became very very important - without a combined 85% attendance in school (from Grades 9-12) I won't be able to graduate. Had circumstances been different - and air fares cheaper - I'd have showed up every year.

Probably a dumb question, but Americans are used to pay everything via credit card. So is it better to bring cash to the EB Day or is credit card also possible?

I found it :) :) :)!!!
I typed in the year first and then the event. That's why I was not successful when I searched the forums.

That's too bad (even though it will save us lots of money, because we would have flown in from the Channel Isles only to be at the EB Day), because in 2014 we'll go to Germany in October (class reunion).
So before 2015 we won't have another Europe trip in May.
Please let me know in case things change. Thanks!!!
