I'd love to come to an Enid Blyton day or anything like it. But it's if i can get my parents to taxi me to wherever.

Do you ever post anything Enid Blyton related Icecream? Because apart from games I've hardly ever seen you post anything EB related and especially not relevant to any discussion!!!

As the thread has been bumped, are we still looking at the 15th June? Because I would like to give work a heads up that I won't be able to do that date if so! Plus a few days around that if I've got certain Scottish company staying!
"You're so sharp you'll cut yourself one day!" Hunchy said going to the door
"So my Mother told me that when I was two years old!" said Julian and the others giggled.

There won't be one now. It would have been scheduled for on eof the next two weekends. There is a meetup on June 15th.

Good idea, but I won't return to Germany before 2015 :(. Next year we could make a short trip to the UK possible.

Yes, in the moment, I suppose it will be interesting what will happen in the next time in Germany after the three Famous Five Films ... (Books, Audios and so on) So I suppose 2015 would be the soonest option for it. :-) But don't know, if there is any interest? And so on ...

I think that if there had been a Day this year it would have been today probably, and I’m thinking back 1 year to that great memorable E.B. Day of 2012!

Yes, it was a good day, wasn't it - and a bit warmer than it is here today! Happy memories.

Last year's Enid Blyton Day was a very memorable one. Let's hope we have another one next year! :D

I really enjoyed the day last year so I hope there's another one in the future. I'd certainly rather be at an EB Day today (despite the weather) instead of going in to work.
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Fond memories! I am certainly not stopping someone from organising one for 2014, in fact I would be delighted if someone wanted to and I might even come to it myself!

There is normally no difficulty with the Day itself, as there have always been generous offers of help, but getting it all organised in the months before the Day has become a bigger problem every year. Even Loddon Hall itself (if that were to be the venue) would have to be booked in the near future and when I did this back in 2011 (for the 2012 Day) I already had three speakers in mind!
