Funny!!

I think I can make that one 15 all (tennis term) - I didn't buy much yesterday, but I did buy the Press Pack from the 70s TV Series!

As far as 2011 is concerned I am sure whoever organises it will say something in the Journal about it, but of course you will need to resubscribe - you must have missed your name on the list yesterday!

Heh, remind me your address Tony so I can re-appropriate the press pack, I'll dig mine out so we can compare!

I hadn't realised I'd lapsed in membership - will re-subscribe forthwith!

Come on Tony... you've another day in you :D, just one for the road...

For those who are desperate for another Blyton fix let me remind you all about two dates at Corfe Castle later this year...

3rd June - Enid Blyton's Wildlife Day

11 August - Enid Blyton's Birthday Party.

We have a display about Blyton's life and work, and it is always nice if there are EB Soc members on hand to discuss it with visitors, and persuade them to join the Society

This is a day I run on behalf of the National Trust, so you work as an NT volunteer for the day. No travel expenses, but I do provide a good lunch. :)

That sounds like a very good idea. Jemima Rooper at the Loddon Hall would be an absolute coup, although I suspect that she has a very full diary, she has never really been short of acting work. A quick look at IMDB reveals that Marco Williamson is still listed under an agent and Paul Child has a website with a resumé of his various TV/film/stage roles. Both Marco and Paul appear to be "resting"at the moment. No idea what Laura Petela is doing, she is believed to have to have left acting and is working in retail.

Nigel would be the first to arrive and the last to reluctantly leave, if Jemima was invited!

I'm just keeping my fingers and toes crossed that there will be an EB Day 2011.

Must be a hard job hitting the keyboard with your fingers crossed.

But I hope for an EB Day in 2011, too. This year's Day was a good start for many good ones to follow. :) Even though it will be hard to find a climax to it.

Cheers

I was up in London yesterday, seeing the play that Jemima is in at the moment (All My Sons- which is very cleverly done!) And I caught her at stage door before the show and we had a nice chat, and We got onto the famous five. :) She was Lovely!!!:D I'll post a picture later, and so genuine:D
"You're so sharp you'll cut yourself one day!" Hunchy said going to the door
"So my Mother told me that when I was two years old!" said Julian and the others giggled.

Jemima is a lovely person, I have met her on a few occasions (all back in Famous Five days regrettably). She is however a busy actress and there is no way she would be able to commit herself months in advance.

What about the Personal Anecdotage guy as a speaker? He seems to have plenty of things to say, and I'm sure many of you would love to hear them!
