So this is from the Twyford Times, same photographer, but more pics. It was so large that I have done it as two pics, fingers crossed that it will be readable.

In the bottom pic Gary is signing for children's author Anna Dale!

It will probably need a bit of Ming Magic (that sounds good!) to be readable.

If you've not got a magnifying glass, and Ming hasn't put up a link, just right-click on the image, save and view at leisure!

Sorry it has taken me so long to add my thoughts. I have been in Scotland for a while, checking out universities.

I had a wonderful time at the Day. It was great to meet so many forum members, and to see Tony again after so long. I particularly enjoyed seeing Barbara Stoney again, who was just as lovely as ever. I am just sorry I turned up late and had to shoot off straight afterwards. I hope you all enjoyed your picnic.

Great, too, to meet Marcus and Gary. I was flattered that Gary knew who I was. (And thank you for signing an autograph for my friend, "The Kebab", by the way, Gary. She loved it!)

Checking out universities, Matt? Surely you mean single malts! There are also some good beers to find, north of the border. Deuchar's IPA is a real favourite of mine.

You really should get a note before going away. You missed all the Spamming that we were suffering, where were you? AWOL!

Welcome back :D

I am so ashamed! Not around when I was needed here! I should have left a note, you're right, but I didn't think you lot would be interested in my travel plans.

I didn't drink much whisky or beer (not a fan of either, I'm afraid, Nige), but I did consume quite a lot of wine, cider and various liqueurs!

I also went to see Travis in concert at the Barrowlands in Glasgow. Such a thrill. Fran, the lead singer, spoke to ME from the stage (out of 2,000 people) and dedicated "Why Does It Always Rain On Me?" to me. I have been on cloud nine ever since.

Excellent pics Tony. They even had the good taste to include my ugly mug in one. I see they also put in the website address. Good stuff. Thanks for posting those.

Where are you, LS? I am sorry I didn't get to meet you. I did meet one of the Stars -- Viking, who was very nice!

In the last picture on the right, the one of the queue for Marcus and Gary's autographs I am standing at the back of the line in a white short sleeved shirt. I think we did say a very brief "Hi" at one point Matt. I'm also in the grouop photo earlier in this thread.

[Matt:] I have been in Scotland for a while, checking out universities.
Hmm - from Cornwall to St. Andrew's, perhaps? You're not a fan of Malory Towers are you by any chance, Matt?
[Jools:] Is that Anita between the two women talking to Gary and Marcus?
Yes - or at least that's my hair!

Thanks for posting the articles, Tony!

I had no idea Anna Dale was a member of the society. Has anyone read her debut novel, 'Whispering to Witches'? I enjoyed it very much...yes, now I come to think of it, it DID have quite a 'Blytonian' feel to it!
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

(E. Blyton, Sunday Times, 1951)

Incompetant chuffing journalists.

Anyone got an address or email address for the paper so I can set them straight as it were? If so do please pm me.
