Maxey is an acclaimed illustrator, and I would have no objection to her work being shown on a future cover. Maybe Pete would care to write an article as well. :)

An article would be very interesting to be honest - I'd like to know more about Maxey - why she was chosen, what happened to her after she finished the Famous Five books, what sort of life she led etc. :-D

We had an article on Betty Maxey in Journal 53 (Spring 2014), written by Peter Taylor who knew Betty and her husband Dale. It was an interesting piece although it only covered a portion of her life in detail.

I am very much looking forward to reading an article by Sheila Ray. I love that kind of article especially from Enid Blyton’s experts! :D

I still don't know how you produce the journal of this quality for our membership subscription cost, Tony. I hope we will see an increase from next year? I hope everyone agrees this is overdue, and I for one would be happy to pay £12 - that is after all only £1 per month.
