Journal 61

Post by Nick »

It must be getting to that time of again, when the final journal drops through the letter box? The last journal of the year is always my personal favourite. The nights are drawing in and there is plenty of wood cut for the fire. There really is nothing better than slumping into my favourite chair, fire burning, Horlicks in one hand, journal in the other!

Great news. I could do with a new journal as the nights draw in.

Yes - and a beautiful cover which glows with gorgeous colours. I don't think I've seen any of Jean D. Howe's work before.

"Handkie" is an unusual short form of "handkerchief" (Mr. Wumble story) but it makes perfect sense!

Looking forward very much to receiving this issue!

Lots to read for sure. Looking forward to the Journal landing through my letter box.

I've been looking in the Cave at the Collins Childrens Annuals. What lovely looking appealing books they are, I love the front covers very much. Takes me straight back to my childhood in the 50's.

Good to see a well-known new contributor, too! :D
