No way! :P I'm sure it'll seem like no time before you're planning the 70th issue!

Quite the opposite...it's more like a 'you do a great job and you mustn't quit!' eulogy! I heartily concur! 8)

Yep no retirement for you Tony. You are far too valuable to us. :D

If you stopped the journals there wouldn't be any, Tony. So I'm afraid there is no retirement for you, Tony. As Anita says, you do a splendid job, and all your hard work putting a journal together is appreciated. :)

Since I joined the Society I have been impressed with the quality and content of the journals. No-one could take your place, Tony, so retirement is out of the question.

Amen to this.

I have just finished reading Anita's article in the journal about the secret of Moon Castle. Honestly, it's so good and has such a wonderful description that I have a good mind to go and buy the book . I can't wait to read it. :D

Thanks, María Esther! The Secret of Moon Castle isn't my favourite of the series (I love The Secret Mountain and The Secret Island best) but it has some very intriguing elements.

Have you read any of the Secret series? If not I'd recommend starting with The Secret Island, which is quite different from most of Enid Blyton's adventure books - dreamy and idyllic.

I am sure there is somebody out there eagerly waiting to do the next 50!
Many sit at the table and eat. Far, far fewer visit the kitchen to cook.

I wasn't quite sure where to put this, but I guess this is the best place and I think I should say something. Although we are still in May I am now down to a handful (yes, five!) of copies of Journal 59 and if anybody is reading this who hasn't yet resubscribed, you would be advised to do so in the very near future.

When I am working out the size of a print run I cannot take into account people who are very late with their resubscription - some after one or two years who have missed the last three or four Journals, but still don't want to buy any of the back issues that they have missed. As I have got stuck in the past with numerous copies of some back issues which is a drain on the Society's finances, I am now far more frugal with my print runs!

I really enjoyed reading Part Two of The Making of ITV's The Castle of Adventure, in Journal 59, I had no idea that Susan George (one of my favourite Actresses), had been difficult to work with, during the making of the production.

Hear! Hear! I enjoyed reading the articles(Part 1 and Part 2, equally) written by Nick Hopkins immensely. They are noticeably different from other pieces. I am very much looking forward to reading Part 3 in Journal no. 60.

The praise should also go to John Henstock's The DVDs of Adventure Part 1. I am also looking forward to reading Part 2.

Why do you not have Society Member in your signature, sixret?

Thank you very much for your kind words (and Billy Farmer's kind words) about the Castle of Adventure article.

Maybe best to make sure you are resubscribed as Moonraker has hinted.
