Journal 48

Post by Julie2owlsdene »

Just been having a look at the front cover of Journal 48. Nice picture of Imogen and Georgina Hargreaves at the Society Day. I'll definately be reading Anita's write up of the day as my first option! :)

I had meant to say that I sent it off to the printers last Friday and loaded it into the Journal catalogue on Sunday morning, but somehow I never got round to it. Despite my intentions of cutting down the number of pages to 60, I'm afraid it is still 80 pages and it has a coloured centre page, so I haven't reduced the weight at all. What I have done is reduced the print run slightly as there are still almost a hundred people who have not resubscribed and I have no idea if they intend to do so. As it would cost over £50 to send out further reminders, I don't intend to do so, but it is worth mentioning that when I last reduced the print run it was for Journal 45 and that issue is sold out.

Terrible news for the finances but great news for us, the subscribers. :D Journal 48 looks terrific as always, I look forward to it.

I'm confused now. If you are a member of the society then you will be sent the journal, you won't need to buy one.
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

I really enjoyed reading Journal 48. Looking forward to reading no: 49...
Which journal issue has been your favourite so far? (Mine would probably be no: 41)
