Journal 44

Post by Rob Houghton »

I'm a bit late spotting this this time, but as UI usually start the latest Journal thread, I thought I'd do so!

It looks like another bumber issue : with great thanks to Tony and other contributors. 8)

Great to see a few articles by Enid herself, and especially the Blyton adult short story: I love reading these, as they give a great insight into the Enid that existed before the Enid we all know so well - the Enid who aspired to be an adult novelist.

Looking forward to another great read!
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

I'm glad I'm not the only one who can make these typo errors!

I noticed the new journal issue a few days ago, and I love the front cover very much. A great Spring choice. The contents look just as exciting as always. Looking forward to recieving my copy as soon as they leave the nest. :D

"You're so sharp you'll cut yourself one day!" Hunchy said going to the door
"So my Mother told me that when I was two years old!" said Julian and the others giggled.

Journal 44 certainly looks like another excellent volume. Just the thing to banish the winter blues. :D

I re-subscrided a few weeks back and can't wait for this issue.

With another round of knee surgery in early April booked, it will make a wonderful distraction from pain!

As one who also suffers from a knee injury, I hope all goes well for you, Nick. As you say, reading the journal will be a wonderful distraction as would be all your collection of Blyton books.

Julie - you must check your work! It amuses me when you post corrupted quotes. You should check through and see why it hasn't worked. In this case, you have missed the closing quotation marks after Nick.

You must try harder!

Homework: Edit and correct your last post.
