Here's one with a yellow sky as I know a few forumites like that sort of background.

Worse than awful. John.

Don't worry, you can get editions with a green background as well.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

The two giants of Famous Five illustrations, Eileen Soper and Betty Maxey both depicted this amazing feat of strength by Timmy:

Eileen's knockers may well overlook the complete lack of any background detail.

Whoever said Betty can't draw lifelike birds may have overlooked this scholarly depiction.

Is Timmy wearing a mask?
I stand with justice and the truth. Palestine will be free from the river to the sea.

Learn the history. Do research.

The hypocrisy, double standard, prejudice and bigotry own by some people is so obvious.Shame on them!

Betty Maxey obviously hated Timmy - giving him all those steps to climb up!!

I'm more worried that he's interested in Eileen's knockers... although even that's probably not as scary as Maxey's internals.

I feel so bad for laughing at that...it's like watching someone trip over in the street, you know you shouldn't laugh but you can't help it

Pete - I went to the same art school as Betty Maxey when it comes to scholarly depictions of birds!
