Unless Disney gets terms extended again, Hachette only holds copyright until midnight on New Years Eve 2038. Unless of course they keep control by trademarking the elements - that's what the estate of the Tarzan creator did.

Just came across a new website promoting current editions of Blyton books. There's an amusing picture of Enid Blyton at her typewriter which looks as if it might have been drawn by Laura Ellen Anderson, illustrator of the Famous Five series.

Interesting to see the 'Teaching Resources' section, which contains lesson plans based on the Famous Five and Naughtiest Girl books.

Thanks for the link, Anita! yes - I love that illustration of Enid. It was featured in the article about her in Country Life Magazine back in April.

I love this. It has a very positive approach to Enid and modernized in a fun way. How appropriate the teaching resource section is, that's what Enid was all about when she started her career and most of her early work was related to teaching resources.

I hope this gets some press to help balance the other 'stuff' that continually appears.
