And with the added bonus that you don’t even have to pay for it yourself. :D

Very pleased with my copy of 'The Seventh Bedside Book' - lovely wrapper, and very good condition. Its only the second Bedside Book I have with a dust wrapper, so I'm very pleased to have it. :-D

The Famous Five Annual 2014. Strictly speaking, not actually by Enid Blyton, and I've always been a little wary about her books reprinted in this century in case they've been subjected to sweeping edits and renamings. But 25p from a charity shop and the retro Eileen Soper illustrations made it look very inviting!

That's a great buy Rob :D . The Seventh Bedside book is one of the few that I've seen in a wrapper, they don't seem to appear much full stop let alone for a good price in a dw! There is a copy of the Third one in a spotless wrapper on ebay at the moment so they must be out there somewhere  .

Stephen I think you got a bargain there for sure! I thought I'd got a good deal finding that annual for a pound in a charity shop but 25p takes some beating!! 8)

I saw the third one on eBay - but that's the other one I already have in a wrapper! Must be slightly easier to find than the others, I guess! :D

Scouring Swansea's charity shops earlier, I think I got more Enid Blyton books in one day than any other! Five on a Treasure Island...Go Adventuring Again...Run Away Together. I've owned them all before, but they've all rather fallen into unreadable disrepair.

I also got First, Third, Upper Fourth and Last year/term at Malory Towers. I've never actually owned any Malory Towers, only just read my sister's copies. The Nicola Slater covers look a bit on the modern side so I hope the text hasn't been tampered with too much!

I almost bought The Second Holiday Book with dust wrapper (thanks to IceMaiden!) but then spotted the Secret of Spiggy Holes (1949 edition) with a good dust wrapper. It was £24.00 - which was a bit more than the Holiday book...but I only need Soggy Holes and Island in dust wrappers...so it was too good to resist! ;-) The wrapper is slightly ripped, but I'll soon get it straightened out! ;-)

As well as repairing the rips, I hope you can do something about the soggy holes!

I'm wondering if that was a typo or Rob's opinion of that particular book??

I got a 1959 edition of The Book of the Year today, complete with a good condition D/W for £7.99 although it had been price clipped. I already have a copy of the book, but without the D/W.

 Grr! I really should check for typos! Funny how they often turn into totally different but still appropriate words!!
