What a great find Katharine, Banshee Towers for £1 is definitely what you call a bargain! I've seen them go for much more than that whether they have a wrapper or not!

Today I bought this edition of 'Ten Minute Tales' - with very good dust wrapper -



I already had it without a wrapper, but decided that £3.99 was a very good price to pay for one with a wrapper!

I was about to say that you have got a copy with a great dustwrapper - and then I realised that the picture there is of my copy!

Lol! I thought a few people might think that, but not you, Tony!! Mine is almost as good but has a small tear on the bottom corner.

Today arrived my copy of "Hanni und Nanni - alle Abenteuer" (= St Clare's - all adventures). It was published in 2013 and is misleading despite the fact it contains 33 novels within 2830 pages. It misses the books based on the German films although they're published by the same publisher.

That's a marvellous price Rob . I love the size and covers on the 'minute' and 'o'clock' tales, lovely little books

Managed to win the book for £4.20. Not sure if that's a good price for this edition?

I agre IceMaiden - I love those little books - the Minute books and the O'clock books, plus a few others such as 'Tales of Betsy May', 'Six Enid Blyton Plays' and 'The Enid Blyton Poetry Book'.

Pete, I think that's a very good price, especially since I think your copy has a dust jacket? I think I paid a bit more for mine and they regularly sell on eBay for £20 +.

Last week in a bookshop in Norfolk I bought "My Enid Blyton Bedside Book". This is the first time I've ever come across one of the Arthur Barker bedside books. I was surprised to see the size was 8vo, I always imagined this series was 4to like the Holiday books. It doesn't have a dustjacket but it only cost a fiver and I'm very pleased to have it.

I'm often surprised by the size of some of Enid's books - especially since the Bedside Books are often £20 - £40 and upwards with a wrapper and not much less without one!

I had always presumed that the 'Knights of the Round Table' and 'Robin Hood' books were much larger than they are in reality. I was surprised how small they are!



They are only 13 cm by 17 cm. I'd imagined they were about as big as the 'Holiday' books, too, so I was rather shocked when I first saw one.

I've had a few surprises with the sizes of books that are either bigger or smaller than I thought they'd be. The Yellow Fairy Book was far bigger and thicker than I'd imagined. On the other hand, the Flower books were much smaller, to the point when I got the first one, before I opened it I thought the seller had sent the wrong book . Child Whispers and Silver & Gold were two others much thinner than I assumed they were.

That is a really good price for a Bedside book Kate Mary, I bought all those this year and they aren't cheap, even without a wrapper, and some aren't at all easy to find either. You did well to find one like that, I had to import some of mine as they were so hard to locate!

That'a lovely edition of The Wishing Chair Pete, I've seen a few of those on ebay and I think there's a Faraway Tree one as well. They've been a bit more than £4 though .

I've got a few buys so far this month, despite trying not to spend too much as I'm meant to be saving for christmas

Holiday books 1-5 for £12.62, the 5th has a wrapper, which is the one I really wanted, I'll sell the other four on. I hope I wasn't bidding against anyone here for them .
