Great stuff! I also bought mine for £1 but that was in Poundland, not long after it first came out - so you definitely got a bargain there.

I'm a regular visitor to Poundland, but I never saw the Famous Five Annual in any of our local branches, Rob. I missed out there.

That was way back in 1996 or 1997, not long after the annual was first issued.

It was one of the first Poundlands in Birmingham city centre.

Perhaps they weren't available in the Sussex branches of Poundland. I'm sure I would have seen them if they had been.

A 1956 edition of The Mystery of the Spiteful Letters with dustjacket in great condition for £2.00. Very pleased.

That's a great buy! I don't know how much my one of those was as it was a christmas present back when it first came out. An annual was a staple gift each year along with a selection box, I don't suppose they are any more though

I got what I think is a bargain this morning, a copy of The Further Adventures of Josie, Click & Bun in a very good dust wrapper for £20. I've not seen this book in a wrapper before so I believe it was a good price, too bad if not though!
