My Enid Blyton Bookcase!

Post by pete9012S »

On another thread there is talk about forum members posting early pics of themselves, but I really enjoyed this picture from Nigel..

Whilst having a drool over Nigels bookscase (below) I thought to myself how interesting it looked!

Maybe we could all post a picture ofhere our own Enid Blyton collections -I personally would find that really interesting...dont know if anyone else would too??

I know theres a couple of photos of Tonys Enid Blyton collection floating around somewhere on this site-but I cant remember exactly were I saw them now,but I remember thinking how fantastic even all his non-Enid books looked layed out neatly together! :D

ps found one! :D :D

scroll down this page a bit! .....

Yes, I would love to see more pictures of Tony's collection. In this one, I am drooling over the Just Williams I can see.

Sadly, all my Enid Blytons are many miles away in Cornwall, but I would love to see other people's collections.

Here are my Blyton Bookcases:

And I just add what a STUPID system this forum has for pictures! The ones I uploaded to photobucket were slightly larger than the ridiculous 520pixel width limit, so I took them off, made them smaller and re-uploaded them. The forum then continued to tell me they were too wide. I had to remove them a second time, rename them and upload them again before the forum would recognise that they were in fact within the size limit. Goodness knows why the forum cannot check each upload rather than simply deciding that if it's the same photo name that it must still be too big!

Impressive photos. I thought about posting one of my collection, but all you would see is piles and piles of books under a layer of dust.

That's odd. Have you tried refreshing the page? Great to see your book collection, Fiona!

Great pictures, Fiona and well worth the effort it took you to post them on the forums. :D

I was going to submit a picture for this but all you would see is 7 boxes. One day when I have time I might put them on some shelves and take a picture, probably best to do this for insurance purposes alone!

Oooh I love this thread. Will try to post pictures tomorrow.

Tonys collection is staggering and a thing of beauty. I would love to hear more about what and why he collects.

Wonderful bookcases all! Truely Fabulous!

I would show you mine, but I have boxes of books and they're not the easiest to show off.

Can anyone guess the name of the dog on the middle shelf of my first picture?

My first thought was Timmy, but wouldn't he be standing in front of the Fives books? I've tried to read the title of the books he is by but can only guess - so Buster?
