Glad I'm not the only one :D

My Autumn routine these past few years seems to be Hike, early October followed by SS on the Trail, Go Ahead and finishing with Fireworks for Guy Falks Night.

Not 'Good Work, Secret Seven'? :-( That's one of my favourite Bonfire Night Secret Seven's. :-D

I'll warm me with your echoes

You are right, Rob it is indeed Good Work and not Go Ahead SS that I read.

Last night I started from the beginning and read through everybody's comments in the entire thread,
I thoroughly enjoyed it and now feel almost like I have just read the two books again.

I already read that one just a couple of days ago. A great book indeed, and gets you straight into the Bonfire Night mode of the 50's. A great nostalgia book for me. :D

I've not read Fireworks for Guy Falks (sic) Night.

I am surprised Julie is reading these books as she has campaigned for years to have fireworks banned for personal use.

Reading them, doesn't make the noise and causes the dog to panic, Moonraker!

Good Work Secret Seven is also a good autumnal story to read - I always read it after the bonfire night ones as a kid! :-D

Great suggestion - it's two years since I last read these two books - time for an autumnal re-read!

Here's the Derek Lucas illustrations of these two book which are the versions I grew up with:
05. Go Ahead Secret Seven - Derek Lucas Knight paperback illustrations 1968:

11. Secret Seven Fireworks - Derek Lucas Knight paperback illustrations 1972:
