I do wish it was in book form, of course, but that's unlikely - especially as the Barney books haven't been reprinted for over 10 years now!

I would be nice if all our continuations were in book form, so the rest of the country could read them, and not just a handful of Society Members, but that dream will never come true, sadly.

I agree, Julie. I have printed off one or two but otherwise can only re-read if I sit at the computer!

That's something I find hard to do, Daisy. I couldn't read a whole book from the computer. I prefer to relax with a book and a cuppa.

I’ve also printed off a few, Julie and Daisy. Like you I prefer to read them on paper.

Dunno about that — in a couple more decades it'll be 70 years since Enid's death and her copyrights will expire... Mind you, she's still such a cash cow that I wouldn't be surprised if the publishers have some way of circumventing the copyright laws and keeping an exclusive hold on her.

I couldn't read a book on a computer screen. That is one advantage of owning a Kindle - I email the story to my Kindle, then read it glare-free.

I wonder how many Journal subscribers access the website to read these stories. My guess is not many. It seems such a shame that all of this work goes in to write these stories only for hardly anyone to read them.

That's an idea Courtenay...only another 20 years to wait!!! I'll be 66...

Then again, I'm sure the publishers will have something in place 'just in case' -- I wonder if updating the books slightly gets around the 70 years rule?

Same here, I rather print it out and read it laying down.
Once in a while I watch some documentary on Youtube, but even 45 minutes in front of the computer screen seems forever.

I've just finished Mountain and thoroughly enjoyed it (even with those vast himalayan welsh mountains! ). I agree that it is quite science-fiction but then I love those sort of shows, I can see why it wouldn't appeal much to someone who didn't like that sort of thing though. If James Bond could find an evil genius in a volcano why couldn't Phillip and co find one in a mountain?

Just started reading The Naughtiest Girl Again — only a few chapters in and I'm eager to find out what happens next and see where the Elizabeth vs Robert conflict is going to go, but that'll have to wait till tomorrow...
