I added to the yahoo group a short description of all Tina and Tini books 12 years ago. It gaves away some major plot details, so if you're not wanting to know them, you better don't read them. As the "Boy next door" is part of the series, I see it pointless to create an extra thread of the German series. I hope Nigel can live with it

Tina and Tini find the mysterious treasure
Tina Greiling, her friend Tini Paulsen and Tina's brother Tobbi spend a visit at her grandparents and her cousin Oliver during the holidays. By accident they get knowledge of a treasure and can retrieve it just in time before her grandparents have to sell their estate.

Tina and Tini are facing new mysteries
Spending their holidays at Tina's and Tobbi's home, they would like to know who's living next door. They soon find out it's an orphan of the USA - his name is Kit - who's hunted by his uncle who would like to get the money Kit inherited. Finally they are able to prevent a kidnapping, Kit's father reappears and Kit's uncle is arrested.

T&T outwit the masterthief
During the holidays at Tina's parents all three have flu. To recover they make a cruise on the liner Lucia - Tini's father is the captain - where they are able to find out who robs the other passengers.

T&T and the mystery of the black dog
Tina, Tini and Tobbi spend their holidays at Tina's parents. Their grandparents leave them their dog to have a look at him while they are travelling. Next door lives an elderly woman - Mrs Neumann - who also keeps a dog. They make friends with her and are allowed to take care of her dog, a spaniel. They get knowledge that there are dognappers around and want to catch them. Before they succeed both dogs are dognapped and Tini gets a spaniel from an old friend of Tina and Tobbi who has a crush on Tini. It turns out that this black spaniel is Mrs Neumann's dog painted black.

The three friends spend their holidays at Tini's this time. They buy a picture as a present, but the former owner of it wants to get it back at all circumstances. By the end they know that the picture was covering another picture that was supposed to be precious - but this was also a cover for another picture.
• 6: Das Geheimnis des Gärtners
The mystery of the gardener
At school a strange gardener appears who's looking for an old Roman fortification (It's understood that nobody knows about this goal). Naturally the three friends and a handful of their classmates wants to know what's going on. They finally win the race.
• 7: Tina und Tini entlarven die Tigerbande
T&T unmask the Tigergang
This time they spend their holidays with their cousin Oliver at Oliver's. His new bike and one of his friend's get stolen so they all want to find out who's responsible for this.
• 8: Das Rätsel der Marzipantorte
The mystery of the marzipan cake
A new classmate's father who's head of a company is a victim of industrial espionage. The three friends and their classmates find out who's responsible for it and how it works (a faked cake plays a role in this).
• 9: Geisterstimmen im Park
Ghostly voices in the park
Spending their holidays at Tina and Tobbi, they learn that there's an unscrupulous real-estate businessman who tries to exploit the superstition of a once famous opera-singer - she proves to be a former friend of Mrs Neumann - to make her sell her real-estate. They are able to take the lid off the swindle and re-unite the friends.
• 10: T&T und die spanischen Zwillinge
T&T and the Spanish twins
This time they are again on the Lucia and make friends with Spanish twins who receive an extremely conservative education. Later someone starts playing tricks and they are able to find out that the twins are responsible for it - their way of revolting against the way they are educated.
• 11: T&T und der unheimliche Strandwächter
T&T and the weird beach attendant
An aunt of Tini's mother wants to retire from running an inn and asks Tini's mother to take over. The three of them travels to this inn to help redecorate and find out that there are smugglers running around. They help the police catching them.

T&T and tracks in the snow
Spending the winter holidays at Tina's they are offered an odd job as cashiers at a newly opened coin museum. Soon some coins are stolen and they find out who's responsible for it - the former owner of the castle and the coins.

The mysterious gang of thieves
Spending their Easter holidays at Tina's they want to find out who's responsible for several burglaries - and naturally they are successful.
• 14: Das Geheimnis der gelbroten Spinne
The mystery of the red-yellow spider
This time the three friends spend their Summer holidays alone in a hut at the mountains and uncover smugglers bringing hides of protected animals into the country.
