I never got a copy! Tess Livingstone told me not to get one at the EB Day as she was sending me a signed copy as a thank you for allowing her friend to sell them at the EB Day free of charge. My signed copy never arrived, but I have managed to buy a copy since!

I did, Julie, twice!! Perhaps she wasn't happy with the number of copies that sold at the EB Day! Along with one or two others, this book should have been added to the Further Reading section on the website, but unfortunately it is in an area of the site where entrance is verbotten to me!

There are a lot of people out there, Tony, only too ready to take advantage of a generous nature!!

I bought a copy of this at the last Enid Blyton day from Viv. I've just checked and it's a signed copy, one of the 150 perhaps.

Does this mean I have a book that Tony hasn't, that must be a first.

I bought a copy from Jacky at Old Thatch last time I was there, though I'd already read Stef's copy.
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Possibly the ones being sold by Jacky at Old Thatch were signed, but the ones at the Enid Blyton Day weren't. It was a bit of a panic getting them to the Enid Blyton Day as they were hot off the press and were sent straight from the publisher in Adelaide. Although she had promised me that they would be signed, Tess, who lives in Brisbane was unable to do so before they were sent, which is why she told me that she would send me a signed copy separately. So although I do have a copy of the book, it is one of only two books about Enid Blyton that I have that has not been signed by the author - the other is the Anecdotage!!!

I have this book. I think I bought it from Old Thatch when we visited about 4 years ago. It's not signed though.

I ordered a copy off ebay the other day for £4. I would like to bring it to the 'Old Thatch Day' in May and ask everyone to sign it if that's ok?

That means I'll get to know what it's like to sign a book - Same as my hubby does when he signs his autograph on his book signing days!

Sue, I would think your best plan would be to visit your local library and ask. If it is available, they would be able to order it and reserve it for you.
