A Letter from Libby

Postby Anita Bensoussane » 25 Feb 2016, 12:42

Tony received this letter as an email attachment so I've typed it out in order to put it on the forums. The address should be over on the right, but the forums will only let me put it on the left!

Dear Enid Blyton Society,

My name is Libby and I love Enid Blyton books. I'm 9 years old. My favourite book that Enid Blyton wrote is The Enchanted Wood. Most of the books on my book shelf are written by Enid Blyton.

I think her books are very interesting. In The Enchanted Wood I really like Moon Face, he's funny. I also like Franny, Jack and Elizabeth. Who was Enid Blyton's favourite character? Do you think Moon Face is funny?

Please write back, if you did, I would be really happy.

Yours truly,

Libby

A lovely letter, Libby. Moon Face is delightful but my own favourite character from the Faraway Tree series is the Saucepan Man. He's comical but very endearing.

Enid Blyton had quite a lot of characters named Jack. Jack Trent in the Adventure series appeals to me most because he's adventurous and loves birds.

When you say you like Elizabeth, is that Elizabeth Allen the Naughtiest Girl? She's great fun to read about.

Enid Blyton said in an interview that her favourite character was George (Georgina) from the Famous Five books. When she was young, Enid Blyton was quite a tomboy like George.

A great letter Libby.
Your school is just 16.4 miles away from my own enchanted wood!

I must read the stories about Moonface as although I have lots and lots of Enid Blyton books I have never read about him!

Best Wishes

Pete
