You would be better posting in the thread discussing it instead of starting a new one I think.

Well, I will give you a "welcome back", Helenbee! Feel free to check the link Fiona provided. Maybe she got out of the wrong side of the bed!

Nothing wrong with directing someone to a perfectly usable and relevant thread!

I think it's the way your wording comes across Fiona, as rather blunt. That's the thing about forums, and texts etc. you can't hear the sound of someone's voice. Which is why we use smilies I guess. :)

I must admit I read Fiona's post as a straightforward direction, simply meant to help Helenbee find the discussion. :D

Shows how we all take what we read differently then, Anita. :)

Thanks, Anita. I'm just not one for adding a lot of chatter to a post when there's no real need. I don't think it's necessarily my problem if someone think that a lack of 'good morning how are you today' means a post is automatically blunt/rude etc.

I read it the same way as Anita, Fiona and was a bit puzzled at the ensuing posts. :?

Well, there are times I'm rather results-oriented than really polite as well...

Oh dear, I didn't mean to start an argument - I should have known better. Having met Fiona I know what a warm and friendly person she is (Oh, I'm starting to sound like Francis! ). Reading the post just made me wince a bit, due to the slight reprimand at the end. There are so many threads and posts, we can't all know the correct place to look (or have the time to research). I just felt for Helenbee and wouldn't want her upset. However, with revered stalwarts such as Anita and Daisy seeing nothing wrong, maybe I was being a little too sensitive.

I think this is a good posting to show how we all read a posting differently, because, as I said, we cannot hear the person speaking or see their faces, and this is how an argument can start on texting and forums, because the person posting, may not mean it to sound as someone else interprets their posting.

Hope that makes sense.

Yes, it does Julie - I am aware how one's words may be misunderstood at times and try to make my meaning clear whenever I post. I think the smilies can help at times, but not everyone is able to interpret them correctly and I use very few. Even with the key to them I still am not sure what is meant to be understood by Mr Green, for example.

I'm not sure about Mr Green either, Daisy. I can only assume it means envy.
