It's almost like having 2 lives, one where she is always very young and the other
where she is still quite young but getting older. Happy birthday Jenny - would love
to see you at an EB Day,

Not a lot since then - looks like it killed off her career :(

Or maybe she decided that nothing else could top appearing in the Famous Five and decided to quit while she was on a high? :D

Didn't Marcus Harris (Julian) say that Famous Five was such a peak that it
ended his acting career as well.

Actually he restartet it - he appears in the new German Famous Five film.

That's interesting, what part does he play a 'good guy' or a 'bad guy'!?

Other films where the child stars didn't do much afterwards are Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory (the 1971 version with Gene WIlder), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Madeline.

Julie Dawn Cole (Veruca Salt) has been in a lot of shows, including Poldark, Eastenders and Emerdale, but as for Charlie, that was his only role.

Madeline's friend Aggie played by CLaire Thomas has been in a number of other productions, but Madeline herself - nothing else.

Heather Ripley and Adrian Hall who played Jemina and Jeremy Potts did precious little else after as well.

I find it quite surprising in some ways, considering their success in these movies.

I suppose child actors change considerably more than adult actors. When directors
are casting adult roles they will be looking for actors who have already played
adults.
