The Enid Blyton Society

Hello, a friend recently gave me a copy of The Yellow Fairy Book. published by Newnes. It has no dust jacket, a hard yellow cover but no publishing date. Can anyone tell me if this is a first edition? It has Fenella. very thick paper pages. I can't find out anything about it where I live. any help appreciated.

mine has no dust jacket and the cover is yellow with The Yellow Fairy Book written on it.but the first illustration is the one with the children on the dog ready to fly around the street. Is this picture in the other editions? thanks, Betty.
