Goat: The goat-moth caterpillars that were made to grow huge by magic so they could burrow down to the jewel caves under the Faraway Tree, where our friends confront the wicked trolls who are destroying the Tree's roots... gosh, that episode had me on the edge of my seat as a little kid!

Rope: It's got to be the famous rope that either Jack Trent or Philip Mannering always seems to be wearing around their waists at just the moment when a rope is needed.

Storm The brilliantly depicted storm in The Adventurous Four. One of the most atmospheric and threatening descriptions of a storm out at sea that Enid ever wrote.

Steps: What the Five (actually, J,A,G) and Richard Kent climbed upon—at least, on TV—following Aggie as she led them upstairs to night lodgings in the attic of Owls Dene in "Five Get Into Trouble". As I recall, Richard Kent got fairly inquisitive as to the sheet-covered items along the way, especially one such item: when Richard lifted the sheet he discovered it to be.... uh.... something ferocious with fur and sharp teeth and let's leave it at that! Thankfully, Richard covered "it" back up again before rejoining the others....

Newspaper: What Fatty puts under a locked door to bring in the key when he pokes it out from the inside, as demonstrated in The Mystery of the Secret Room. That was the first Find-Outers book I ever read and I found Fatty's detective tricks so exciting!
