Famous Pauls/Paulines
The current name thread ably commented on by our members showed just how names can go in and out of fashion.
One of our posters is named Paul which according to various sources means "small" or "humble" from Latin.
But how many famous Paul's do we know?(fictional or real)... Less or more than we might think?
I will start us off - let's see how many we all know:
Paul McCartney -

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Re: Famous Pauls
How about Paul Antreides (who becomes Muar'Dib), the central character of Frank Herbert's novels, "Dune" and "Dune Messiah". In the 1984 film, "Dune", he is played by Kyle McLachlan. I don't know if our Paul has seen that film but, knowing his love of sci-fi, I'm sure he would enjoy it. Some stunning visuals. [There are many more events in the book than there are in the film, even though it runs for 130 mins.]
