:D Many thanks, Daisy.

Inspector / Superintendent Jenks had at least one hobby. What was this hobby?

I've just noticed this question, Julie.

I believe her companion's name was Lucy.

I'm moving this reply to today. I know you've been away from the forums for a few days and I'm hoping you will see this, Julie. Thank you for sending me some great photos. :D

Sorry Eddie for not seeing your answer, as you say, I am very busy these days, and don't look into the forums very much now, but my love of Enid will always remain.

Perfectly correct Eddie. Over to you. Cheers for the email reminder. :D

What is Superintendent Jenks's private telephone number?

A clue:

The private telephone number is mentioned in The Mystery of Holly Lane.

I'm guessing it's a short number, as back when fewer people had phones it was common for a telephone number to be just two or three or four digits. Unfortunately it's a long time since I read Holly Lane and I can't for the life of me remember what the mystery is about, let alone what Jenks' private phone number is!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Another clue:

The private number is BANKS followed by a five digit number.

I hope this helps. :D
