Thank you, Courtenay. :D

Another easy question:

Which illustrator replaced the 'unforgettable' Joseph Abbey?

Eddie, would that be an artist with the surname of Evans? I've put this rather clumsily because the first name confuses me.....I think 'tis Treyer, with which  I have some difficulty. I am even *HHIS* uncertain of this artist's gender! :?

'Aurélien Arkadiusz' :?:

Perfectly correct, Aurélien. :D

According to the details I have, Treyer Evans was male and he lived from 1889-1958. There doesn't seem to be too much information about him anywhere. Perhaps Tony or Anita could provide some more.

Over to you.

:D Thanks, Eddie. :D One wonders about the origins of 'Treyer' - whether 'tis a variant form of Trevor, or a (continental?) place-name, or ?????? There is probably a totally logical reason for such a name. (Unlike those present-day parents who insist  on a really w-e-i-r-d way of spelling their poor, put-upon kids' names, using a y, a z and more than one x!)

In 'TMOT Secret Room' who "gave the game away" by attracting Constable Goon's attention to Milton House?

I'm afraid I don't know anything about Treyer Evans, Eddie. In answer to Aurélien, maybe the name Treyer is related to Trefor/Trevor, which is of Welsh origin. Or maybe Treyer's family used a surname as a first name, as Treyer is a popular surname in many countries:

It was fashionable at one time to use a surname as a first name. Enid Blyton's parents did that when they named one of their sons Hanly. Enid's paternal grandmother had been called Mary Ann Hanly before her marriage.

Anita, thanks for the additional information on Treyer Evans. :D Following your link, I note that 'Treyer' is most common as a surname in Switzerland...
